Growing up I was told that I would have good luck if the first thing that I said on the first day of a new month was "rabbit rabbit," but no matter how hard I tried I ALWAYS forgot. Today is no exception...I forgot once again. Even though I forgot to say "rabbit rabbit" and cursed myself with bad luck for 31 days, I am pretty excited because October is here. I think October might be my favorite month of the year – everything is just so crisp, cozy and reminds me of my home/family. Other things that make me love the month of October include: caramel apples, corn mazes, wineries, football season, sweaters, boots, apples, mini pumpkins, candy corn, apple cider, baking, pumpkin spiced lattes and the color orange. Mrs. Bowers our first grade teacher told us about the rabbit rabbit thing...I can not remember why we say it though?!? I know it is supposed to be the first thing you say in the morning though...
