High Times

Normally I am stranded on 11th ave and glued to my desk chair from 8:00 until after 6:00 every Monday through Friday, but sometimes I get lucky and have to staff client events. Staffing events = getting out of the office for a day, seeing a great venue, interacting with media and my team, bronzing while manning the door and breathing in the fresh air. Well yesterday was one of those lucky days but luckier since the event was next to The High Line. And let me tell you it was pretty frowned upon that I am a New Yorker and have never been to The High Line. Hearing this, I knew that yesterday was the day that I had to go.  So when my friend and I were walking home from the event, we decided to walk on The High Line instead of down 10th Ave aka UPGRADE!
The High Line is about a mile long park built on an old freight railroad track that runs along the lower west side from the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street.  The railroad track is filled with flowers, plants, grass, trees, people, chairs, ice cream stands and more. Sounds ideal, right? It really is…and free. I will definitely be going back when I have more time to walk the entire park and relax. But luckily we did snap a few picture on our walk home J
