Before I discuss my weekend in Barcelona I'd just like to say that finals should be illegal when a college student is abroad. I'd really be interested in polling some people who have been involved in cruel and unusual punishment and make them study for a final while in London and see which is worse. But I digress only one more final and a paper till i'm free and done with the first half of my semester. Only half a semester left here talk about cruel and unusual...
This weekend I finally understood what Dorothy was saying to Toto when she said "I dont think we're in Kansas London anymore". Don't get me wrong Barcelona was freaking pretty....
But if I heard one more story about a bag being cut off a girls shoulder by a knife, I’d be way over my lifetime quota. Friday began at 3:00 am, aggressive you might say. We arrived in Barcelona and did the standard touristy things. Lunch involved 5 bottles of wine and a sandwich for only 9 euros each. Clearly I was listening when Jack Byrnes told me to spend my money wisely.
The reason for the entire trip though was for an event called Sensation White. Now whatever you are thinking, stop thinking it, no really stop, it was crazier than that. It's really one of you have to be there type of deals but let me tell you top (I don't want say the wrong number) 6...no...5 best nights of my life.
If only the men at this thing knew that when 6 girls say go away, they actually mean it. But due to the language barrier or possible lack of common sense a good number of these dudes thought it was fine to grope, touch, and follow us. Just imagine the perfect combo of drunken, 55 year old, Spanish speaking men + a large large stomach...yum...
Welp the weekends over which means it's time to trade in my tutu and pigtails (yes I realize I'm almost 21) for sweatpants and study guides.
